What we do.
We are working to feed rescue animals and eliminate food waste in Oregon. We hold a yearly event that donates hundreds of pounds of pumpkins and other food to local farm sanctuaries to feed their hungry friends.

Farm Animal Rescues
We currently support 4 farm animal sanctuaries. We are looking to expand, so if you are a sanctuary that needs feed, or you know of one, send us a note.
How?
Donations and Delivery
We are currently doing the Great Pumpkin Drive in Oct/Nov, but are in conversations to provide even more food. If you’d like to donate food outside of the drive, send us a note.
Why?
We Love Animals
We love animals, and we want to see them thrive. When the opportunity came up we jumped at the chance to take over the Great Pumpkin Drive and cast a vision of it for the future.

Board Logistics & Communications Advisor
Heather Ricks
Raised in Oregon, Heather has always had a passion for animals. Her grandparents had a small farm in southern Oregon, and she spent many summers there gardening and enjoying the companionship of their retired farm animals. She brings a background in office management, key to coordinating our operation. Heather has two rescue cats she shares with her husband Jeff, Diana and Helena, and would take all the rescues if she could.

Jeff Ricks
Also raised in Oregon, Jeff has always loved animals and cared for them. His family lived in a rural area near Portland, and he helped care for farm animals as well as the family’s pets. He brings a background in project management and software engineering, both helping our team to set realistic and identifiable goals as we move forward. Jeff shares two rescue cats with his wife Heather, Diana and Helena. He dreams of having goats, ducks, and a dog too.

Lale Gooden

Lale brings a background in nonprofit strategy and growth, which will be vital to the success of Feasts for Beasts. She longs for a garden with a backyard flock, and in the meantime her animal fix comes from friends who have more space.
